Tea for cough and cold

Ingredient
ginger - 1-inch fresh
water -2 cup
honey - 1 tablespoon
Jaggery – 1 small cube
Turmeric – 1 pinch
Black pepper – 1 pinch
Basil leaf – 5-10 leaves


Method

  1. Put the water in saucepan and keep on heat to boil.
  2.  Put all other ingredients in the water.
  3.  Let it boil till the water become half.
  4.  Finally have a homemade remedy for cough and cold.

Malai kofta



Ingredients
For kofta 

Paneer [ cottage cheese ]                                                                  200 gms
Boiled potato                                                                                     2 medium
Corn flour                                                                                          1 tablespoon
Chilli powder                                                                                      half teaspoon
Garam masala powder                                                                       1 pinch
Raisins                                                                                               10-12
Salt                                                                                                     as per taste

For gravy
Onion paste                                                                                       1/2 cup
Tomato paste                                                                                     1cup
Cashew nut paste                                                                               1/4 cup
Red chilli powder                                                                               ¾ teaspoon
Ginger Garlic paste                                                                            2 tablespoon
Garam masala                                                                                     half teaspoon
Salt
Sugar 
Oil                                                                                                        for deep frying koftas
Fresh cream                                                                                         2 tablespoon
Bay leaf                                                                                                1
Cinnamon stick                                                                                    1 inch
Green cardamom                                                                                  2-3
Clove                                                                                                    2-3
Turmeric powder                                                                                                     1 teaspoon


Method
Mix all the ingredients of kofta except raisins. Make medium size ball and stuff one raison into the centre of each balls. Then fry the koftas in medium hot oil till it turns golden brown. Remove extra oil from the pan and add all whole garam masala and fry till the oil becomes fragrant. First add onion paste and fry till brown. Now add ginger garlic paste and fry for a minute. Add tomato paste and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder to, garam masala powder and cashew paste. Stir and sauté till the oil starts separating from the masala paste. Add water and stir  at simmer till gravy becomes thick. Takes  approx  11  -  12  minutes  on  a  low  flame.  In the end add salt as per taste. If you like a  light  taste  in  the  curry  add sugar . Simmer for 1-2 minutes more. Add koftas in the curry If serving immediately. Garnish the malai kofta with some cream.

shrikhand


Ingredience

Saffron                                                                                  1 pinch
Yogurt                                                                                   1 kg
Powdered sugar                                                                    1 cup
Warm milk                                                                            2 tablespoon
Nutmeg powder                                                                    1 pinch
Green cardamom powder                                                    ¼ teaspoon
Almonds                                                                                8-10

Method

First tie the yogurt in piece of muslin and hang it overnight in a refrigerator. Transfer the drained Yogurt into a bowl. Add powdered sugar and mix well till sugar dissolves completely.Then mix theSaffron in warm milk, cool and add to the yogurt mixture. Add the nutmeg powder and cardamom powder and mix well. Then place in a refrigerator to chill and garnished with the almonds.

Sweet Potato Puri



Ingredients:


Sweet potato                                                     250 gm
Wheat flour                                                       500g

Cardamom powder                                           1 teaspoon
Oil to fry

Method:

  For making sweet potato puri first boil potatoes after that peel and mash it. Add potatoes and Cardamom powder into flour and make dough. Now heat oil into a pan. Make puri and deep fry till golden brown. Serve   hot with curry, chutney or mango pickle.
